Concerned catteries screen potential new owners by asking some normal questions generally by email, so please do not be offended or defensive when answering.  It is only caring catteries doing their best to released these precious magical Ragdolls to forever secure, loving, care-providing people and environments.  We will also make our best attempt with you to align you with a Ragdoll best suited to your personality, lifestyle, family and pets.  Our goal is to try and satisfy both you and the Ragdoll and make the first placement be the only placement.

A Deposit Form with choices and explanations will be emailed to you.  Print it, fill it out and mail it "Certified" along with your U.S. Postal Money order for the deposit amount stated on the form.  The Deposit amount on a Kitten is generally $350 and Refundable for any reason until you make your selection verbally, by email, phone, or in writing.  Also refundable if you tire of waiting for a kitten.  You may also move your deposit to a next litter.

We will email you our Visiting Instructions/Waiver document ahead of time. 

Kittens: We Schedule you to visit available kittens when kittens are about 9-10 weeks in age.  You must make your selection during this visit.  If you can't visit us, you still must make your selection when kittens are 9-10 weeks in age.  This process keeps people in line below you from having to wait too long for their turn.  We post photos of kittens starting at about 4 weeks in age and update the "New Models" page about every week.  We will be in close communication with deposit holders through the entire placement process, emailing you photos and giving you info about particulars on kittens you are interested in and that could also best fit your desires. 

Older Ragdolls: We schedule you to visit ahead of time. We will email you our Visiting Instructions/Waiver document ahead of time.

Visiting Without Placing Advance Refundable Deposit:   Some people prefer to place a deposit when they are here in person to visit and make a selection.  This is fine.  You could though miss out on a Ragdoll if we receive a deposit in advance of your visit, or there are others ahead of you in in line with an advance deposit.  Advance deposits take priority.

Choosing Pet or Show Quality:    Purchasing Possible Show Quality does not mean you are required to show unless the breeder/seller and you agree to this.  Possible Show Quality are those who have the possibility of being "nearest to the standards for the breed" in every regard.  This is not only in pattern and color, but for the entire animal.  So, do not pass up selecting a Possible Show Quality if you do not want to show, but do want the nearest to perfect for the breed.  This quality is the quality that caring, involved breeders are working to create in their programs.  The possible show quality are ones the cattery may want shown to Title.  We can mentor you in showing, or you can know all about showing in CFA from their website pages at http://cfa.org/

Choosing A Retired Breeder or Older Ragdoll:   The reason breeders choose to "pet out" adult pedigreed cats (placing cats in pet homes) are many.  Most of them come down to one thing, LOVE.  These breeders have the best interests of the cat at heart. Some cats are happier in a one, or two-pet household, at the center of a family's attention.  A good breeder recognizes this and does what he or she can to make sure that every cat they produce is in the happiest situation and environment for the individual adult. 

Young adults, retired breeders, even older Ragdolls are wonderful pets and companions and deserve to live out their life in petted bliss like kittens who are 12-16 weeks in age.  Ragdolls generally maintain their youth and playfulness their entire life.  They certainly, like kittens, love to be with you all the time too.  A adult type Ragdoll could be perfect for you if you're semi retired, retired, work part time, do not have young children living in the home all the time, and you'd rather not deal with the stages a kitten goes through.  Older Ragdolls are generally discounted in price.
